November 10, 2016 TOWN BOARD MEETING

TOWN  OF  MIDDLE  INLET

Town Board Meeting  -  November 10, 2016


The Middle Inlet Town Board Meeting of November 10, 2016, was Called
to Order by Chairperson Wade at 7:30 P.M.

Roll Call indicated Supervisors Magerowski and Van and Clerk/Treasurer
Stanek were present.

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited.

Stanek requested that the Agenda be amended to include the Minutes of
the Special Town Board Meeting of November 7, 2016,as part of Item 4. 
In addition, the proposal by GREAT AMERICAN DISPOSAL ((Item 6), is to
be tabled until the December, 2016, Town Board Meeting.  Motion to
Approve the Agenda as amended made by Van and seconded by Magerowski. 
Motion carried.  (3 to 0)

The Minutes of the previous Town Board Meeting of October 13, 2016,
and the Special Town Board (Budget Workshop) of November 7, 2016,
Approved on a Motion by Magerowski and seconded by Van.  Motion
carried.  (3 to 0)

The November, 2016, Vouchers representing total disbursements of 
$73,285.48, were presented.  Motion to Approve made by Van and
seconded by Magerowski.  Motion carried.  (3 to 0

COMMUNICATIONS:                   None

REPORTS:

Roads:

Wade reported that the 2017 Road Certification has been received by
WDOT.  The Fall grading of Town roads has been completed.  All 2016
Road Projects have been completed and a list of same was made
available.  In addition, patching has been conducted on portions of
MOONSHINE HILL RD., CREEK RD. and QUARRY RD.
ATV signage has been replaced on CAMP 5 RD. 

Wade indicated he will meet with the snowplowing contractor next week
to review the Town roads and clarify any questions regarding the
plowing routes.


Planning Commission:                                No Report

Fire Department:    

Fire Chief JOHN CODDINGTON reported the Dept. had a single call
(Burning Leaves).

The Dept. has been presented with an opportunity to develop a Training
Project regarding a “structure burn”.  Ten (10) active Dept. members
and, possibly other area Departments, would be involved.  To set up
this project, certain expenditures are required.  The Dept. estimated
this may run from $1,000.00 - $3,000.00, and requested that the Board
approve same.  Motion to Approve made by Magerowski and seconded by
Van.  Motion carried.

The report on the 2016 FIRE DEPARTMENT PICNIC has been finalized. 
Total Revenues generated were  $11,023.66.  Total Expenditures were 
$4,868.17  The Net Proceeds were  $6,155.49.

The Town MONEY MARKET (Account #402435) is to be “reimbursed” for the
Expenditures, by transfer of  $868.17 from the FIRE DEPT. SAVINGS.
Account #4646).

Motion to Approve the transfer of said funds made by Magerowski and
seconded by Van.  Motion carried.  (3 to 0)

                           
Garbage / Recycling:

Supervisor Van reminded everyone that the “Every-other-Monday” pick-up
schedule has been implemented – November, 2016 thru April, 2017.  The
first pick-up in November is scheduled for Monday, November 14th.


Town Hall:                                               No Report

Cemetery:


Supervisor Magerowski reported the “Badger Problem” appears to have
corrected itself. Professional Exterminating service failed to produce
any “suspected subjects”.  The Badger(s) appears to have vacated the
premises.

The vehicular gate to the Cemetery will be closed November 15th., and
remain locked until April 15, 2017.  The “walk-in” gate will remain
open.

Wade presented a brief up-date regarding the CHRISTINE HEMING
properties (W5824,
W5828 and W5830 LAKE ROAD).  and  recent corrective measures has
resulted in full compliance.

The JOHN R. MAEDKE property (W7586 SWEETHEART CITY RD.), and  the
THOMAS MALCHOW maintenance issue of same, will proceed via compliance
action thru Circuit Court.

There being no further business before the Board, Wade requested a
Motion to Adjourn.  Motion made by Magerowski and seconded by Van. 
Motion carried (3 to 0) and Meeting was Adjourned at 7:48 P.M.
