CURT SPEARS, Great American Disposal, presented a proposal regarding
an increase in the monthly service for trash collection. Due to an
audit of their municipal contracts, it was indicated the service to
the Town of Middle Inlet was being conducted at a net loss each month.
The proposed increase would be $436.00 per month. The scheduled
weekly service from May thru October, and the every-other- week
service from November thru April, would remain unchanged. In
addition, there would be no increase for the tipping fees (landfill
disposal).
Following a review and discussion, a Motion was made by Magerowski to
continue a contract extension for five (5) years, reflecting the
proposed monthly increase. Motion seconded by Van. Motion carried.

wind storm. The public that assisted and Northeast Tree Service was
commended for their efforts. Wade indicated he met with the
snowplowing contractor to review the Town roads and clarify any
questions regarding the plowing routes. Hopefully it will be a smooth
transition.

Abandoned tires were found along WAYSIDE ROAD. Wade reported he
removed same and took them to the landfill site. Current disposal
rates are $2.00 per tire. It was noted the following day, two (2)
addition tires were deposited along the roadside. Wade reminded the
public the Town has a $1,000.00 reward for the arrest and conviction
of those responsible for the illegal dumping or theft of road signs or
